Linea Pelle 2011: all the best that leather can offer

Trends and colors for exotic leatherThis year once again the city of Bologna hosted one of the most important and anticipated events in the field of leather, not only in Italy but also Europe and worldwide: the Linea Pelle trade fair, held here from October the 18th to October the 20th, recording, as it has done for some years now, a really massive attendance of visitors and specialists in the leather sector, come  from all corners of the world to discover the latest trends for next fall-winter 2012/2013 concerning leather, the materials and the accessories connected to the industry.

In an exhibition space of about 50,000 square meters, 1119 exhibitors (of whom 763 Italian and the remaining 356 foreign) showed all the new developments (resulting from modern technological systems but also from meticulous study and, above all decades of experience in the field of tanning and of workmanship of the different types of leather) concerning not only the leather itself as a material, but exhibiting it in all its possible applications, from its usage in the field of  clothing and of shoes, to its use in the furniture industry.

Because this fair was exclusively dedicated to the specialists of the sector, we at Gleni absolutely had to be there, considering this event an unmissable date in our business calendar. It is the new developments and trends that capture our attention here at the Linea Pelle fair, a particular leather workmanship, or the amazing colours shown, that inspire us to create our new collections to satisfy the tastes of our customers.

This year, more than in the past, we noticed a huge number of visitors coming from all over the world, and, in particular from countries such as Russia and China, demonstrating that the leather sector, more than others, is standing up well to the economic crisis that has been damaging so many international business relationships, and using any means to defeat it.

Very reassuring were the words spoken by the director of the Associazione Conciatori di Santa Croce sull’Arno, Mr. Piero Maccanti, who considered the Linea Pelle edition a very important event for Italian companies who have received very consistent orders, both in quantity and in value, so he thinks that signs of recovery and economic growth will soon be noticeable and that work will be assured for the first seven months of the next year.

But, if you want more detailed information about our impressions and points of view referring to this latest edition of Linea Pelle, we suggest you continue your reading at the following page: LineaPelle: when leather is the star of the show and you will discover more details and curiosities!

And, as leather is the main focus of this fair in Bologna twice a year, presented in all its possible and imaginable variants, thanks to new technology and to innovative high definition treatments, exotic leather couldn’t fail to be present, capturing the attention of all lovers of luxury and quality more than ever.

Our attention was almost entirely captured by new proposals for python, ostrich and crocodile leathers: besides, it’s according to the new trends proposed at this event that we at Gleni start planning the samples of leathers and colours for the next fall-winter season 2012-2013.

While, as far as colours and shades are concerned, we noticed a prevalence of dark tones, from brown to grey, from green to navy blue, typical of the winter season, there were however some original and strong exceptions, such as the gold or bronze laminated effects brightening a classic hazelnut or beige colour, or the matt-shiny contrasts created to enhance the natural design of the animal, but, above all, the use of a myriad of shiny rhinestones to capture the light and highlight the base color of the leather.

As you can easily understand, we had the pleasure of testing many different options of workmanship at this important leather fair, but who would like to discover which are the trends that will characterize our new samples? We invite you to continue your reading at the following page Linea Pelle: trends and colors in exotic leather

Hoping to have chosen only the best, in order to satisfy the tastes of everybody!

Don’t forget to let us know your opinions… they will be, as always, happily received!

I don’t write a lot of responses, but i did some searching and wound up here . And I actually do have a couple of questions for you if it’s allright. Could it be only me or does it give the impression like a few of the responses appear like they are coming from brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are writing on other places, I’d like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you make a list of all of all your public pages like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
